In September of 2014 my friend Lionel Strang was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma and was told to prepare for the worst. On the first anniversary of his diagnosis we decided to celebrate his survival of this horrible disease by hosting a barbeque for some friends and managed to raise $1,200 dollars for the hospital. In 2016, the second anniversary of “One More Year” event we raised and donated $8,000, last year $12,000 for a total of over $21,000 and it's all been donated to the Psychosocial Oncology Clinic at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
This clinic has been a source of strength for Lionel and is recognized worldwide, providing counseling, therapy, improving emotional well-being and reducing stress, for patients and their families trying to cope with the diagnosis of cancer
Lionel has been to the hospital well over a 150 times since the beginning of this ordeal and I hope you can join me on Lionel's behalf donating to our cause and receive my undying gratitude.
Yours truly,
Barb Webster
