 Die East German Lions &amp; East German Cheetahs sind Auswahlteams, die talentierte Rugbyspielerinnen und Rugbyspieler aus den neuen Bundesländern zusammenbringen. Gemeinsam vertreten wir unsere Region auf und neben dem Spielfeld und zeigen, was durch Zusammenarbeit über Vereinsgrenzen hinweg möglich ist.

 Im August reisen wir mit 24 Athletinnen und Athleten zum internationalen Copenhagen 7s, einem der größten Rugbyturniere Europas. Dort treten wir gegen Teams aus aller Welt an und repräsentieren die neuen Bundesländer mit Stolz, Teamgeist und Leidenschaft.

 Hinter dieser Reise steckt ein gemeinnütziges, ehrenamtliches Projekt. Unser Ziel ist es, Spielerinnen und Spielern internationale Erfahrungen zu ermöglichen, den Austausch mit anderen Nationen zu fördern und den Rugbysport in Ostdeutschland nachhaltig weiterzuentwickeln.

 The East German Lions &amp; East German Cheetahs are representative rugby teams bringing together talented female and male players from across the eastern federal states of Germany. Together, we proudly represent our region and demonstrate what can be achieved when clubs work together.

 This August, 24 athletes will travel to the Copenhagen 7s, one of Europe’s largest international rugby tournaments. Competing against teams from around the world, we are proud to represent Eastern Germany with passion, respect and teamwork.

 Our tour is organised by a non-profit, volunteer-led organisation. Our mission is to create international opportunities for athletes, encourage cultural exchange through sport and strengthen rugby across Eastern Germany.
