❤️ Have you ever felt that something was put on your heart and you just ABSOLUTELY had to follow through? You weren’t sure how or when...but you knew it had to be done. One day, I had the title of a book come into my head. Never having written a book before....Yet having a strong feeling in my heart about this.....I decided to write the title on a small piece of paper and simply put the paper away. Little did I know, that one day I would sit down and the words for the book that would accompany this title would just flow so easily from my heart out through my fingertips as I quickly typed out each word.
I’m sure you all are in some way affected by divorce. You have either personally experienced a divorce, have a friend, a family member, a co - worker, or a student in your class that has gone through this dramatic life change.
~All across the world, the individuals that are so innocently affected by their parents splitting up are the children. Looking your sweet children in the eyes and telling them that you and their other parent will no longer be staying together is a heart breaking task. I know this first hand, as I have had to have this discussion with all three of my daughters. However, with that being said, I am a firm believer that MINDSET IS EVERYTHING. With as trying as life can be at times, if we find ways to look for the good in all situations...it can surely help ourHEARTS TO HEAL.

This book is a catalyst to aid parents in telling their child that their parents will no longer be staying together nor will they be living in one house with both of their parents. Although the actual word divorce is not used in this story, the message is apparent. One Princess, Two Castles is about a little princess named Princess T whose parents are no longer staying together and therefore are moving into separate castles. Princess T learns a key phrase that is repeated throughout this story,”things will be different, but things will be good.” Princess T learns that although it is ok for her heart to feel sad, she also learns that is perfectly ok for her heart to feel excited about spending time with each parent. She learns to look at the positives of spending time at each of her parent’s castles and although time spent with the king and queen are different ...the one commonality is their love for her. This book presents a way for parents to discuss that times spent at the Queen’s castle are just as special as times spent at the King’s castle.
❤️The phrase "things may be different, but things will be good" helps BOTH parents and children to turn their focus from heartache onto the good things that will happen in the future.
❤️ I have now written four books that I am hoping to turn into a series. There is a vision in my heart that I would love to see come true! Last year, I began working with Tammy Kling and her amazing company called On Fire Books. As a result the content of three of my books have been edited...... I would like to begin with getting my first book One Princess, Two Castles illustrated and published soon!
I have a publisher ready to go, the next step is the funding.
