One Heartbeat Charity Games

Donation protected
Eight years ago, the wife and ex-wife of a coach in the Dayton basketball community both battled breast cancer in the same year.  As a community, Centerville girls basketball wore pink shooting shirts and did a pink out at middle school team's final home game.

The next school year, the wife of a Centerville coach had post-partem congestive heart failure.  The Elks basketball community again rallied, hosting a pink/red out to raise awareness.

As discussions begun the next year to plan the annual game, we found more cases of heart disease in the community and began working with the Dayton chapter of the  American Heart Association in Kettering.  This game has been a tremendous boost to the awareness in the community and provides a purposefully activity for all the participants from area schools with proceeds going directly to American Heart's Go Red For Women campaign.

To ensure we both provide a good experience for the student-athletes and maximize our donation to AHA, we depend on the generosity of the community to donate funds for the operation of the event.  Consequently, this campaign's goal is for one year of operations and any overage will be included with the proceed donations to American Heart.

Whether you are able to help with this cause or not, please spread to aid us in our effort to continuing support for http://goredforwomen.org with our annual red out games.

Thank you in advance!
