During the past two years, I have been a missionary teacher in Weno, Chuuk located in the Federated States of Micronesia, which is in the South Pacific. I have taught English in the High School and Kindergarten in the Elementary School. Yet, the joy of my experience has been teaching Children's Church in two local Chuukese churches. In particular, One Heart Church (Ngasangas), has touched my heart with its compassionate and loving outreach to the unreached in the community and neighboring villages. One Heart Church (Ngasangas) is under the ministry of Pastor David Welle and his wife Ridai. The membership has grown under their care to over 70 members during the past eight and one-half years. This includes approximately 25 children. The contributing factor has been the Church's ability to provide a flatbed truck transportation ministry to bring the members, who live in six different outlaying villages, to church by way of a treacheous, pot-holed, dirt road to One Heart Church located in the northern village of Sapuk. Consequently, the present flatbed is now beyond repairs, and the church needs to purchase another used flatbed truck to continue its vital ministry. Pastor Welle's vision for the church has been "Village Mission"----To evangelize to the unchurched in Sapuk and the other six villages; one family at a time. It also fulfills the Great Commission to Go (reach out), Teach to the Lost (The Gospel--the Truth and nothing but the Truth), Baptize ( In the name of Jesus), and Make disciples (train others to make disciples for Christ). My goal is to help the church purchase another used flatbed truck for its transportation ministry. Any amount of donation is appreciated, but if 220 good-hearted people could donate $35.00, One Heart Church could easily and efficiently purchase the used vehicle. Go-Fund-Me does assess a fee to process the fundraising effort and that has been calculated in the $35.00 donation
in advance for anything you give for this worthwise cause. May God bless and keep each of you.
