Dear community,
We want to share with you a very painful situation that we are going through at River Mountain FC.
For more than three years, with great effort and sacrifice from our families and our club, we were able to raise the money needed to purchase our soccer goals. These goals were not just sports equipment: they were the heart of every training session, every goal scored, and every dream of the children and youth who train with us.
Unfortunately, a representative from the Jordan School District ordered to destroy all of our goals. The saddest part is that this happened on the very same day she asked us to remove them. Even though we shared with her the Utah law that protects this type of property, and despite the fact that in almost every other school in the district the goals remain in use, we were the only club affected.
When they returned our goals, they were completely destroyed.
The situation became even worse when we were also banned from using the fields that belong to the Jordan District. We have tried to open dialogue and seek solutions, but sadly the response has always been rejection towards our club.
Today we find ourselves with our goals destroyed, without access to fields, and with a great need: to provide our players with safe and proper soccer goals once again.
That’s why we are reaching out to you. Any contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal of continuing to give children a safe, inclusive space full of dreams.
Together we can show that, even if they try to stop us, the strength of our community is greater. ⚽

Hoy queremos compartir con ustedes una situación muy dolorosa que estamos atravesando en River Mountain FC.
Durante más de tres años, con mucho esfuerzo y sacrificio de las familias y del club, logramos reunir el dinero necesario para comprar nuestras porterías de fútbol. Estas porterías no eran solo un equipo deportivo: eran el corazón de cada entrenamiento, de cada gol, de cada sueño de los niños y jóvenes que entrenan con nosotros.
Lamentablemente, una representante del Distrito Escolar Jordan ordenó destruir todas nuestras porterías. Lo más triste es que esto ocurrió justo el día en que ella misma nos pidió retirarlas. A pesar de que compartimos con ella la ley de Utah que protege este tipo de bienes, y de que en casi todas las escuelas del distrito las porterías permanecen en uso sin problema, fuimos el único club afectado.
Cuando nos devolvieron las porterías, estaban completamente destrozadas.
La situación se agravó cuando además nos prohibieron usar los campos que pertenecen al Distrito Jordan. Hemos intentado dialogar y buscar soluciones, pero lamentablemente la respuesta siempre ha sido de rechazo hacia nuestro club.
Hoy nos encontramos con nuestros arcos destruidos, sin acceso a campos, y con una gran necesidad: volver a equipar a nuestros jugadores con porterías seguras y adecuadas.
Por eso acudimos a ustedes. Cualquier aporte, grande o pequeño, nos acerca a nuestro objetivo de seguir brindando a los niños un espacio sano, inclusivo y lleno de sueños.
Juntos podemos demostrar que, aunque intenten detenernos, la fuerza de nuestra comunidad es más grande. ⚽
