In rural areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina Business and Education network provides high-quality after school tutoring, using innovative tools and offers extracurricular activities, so all children can pursue a quality education, improve their academic performance and maximize their personal potential and contribute to their community. In poor rural districts around Srebrenica there is a lack of comprehensive network of quality primary schools and fully skilled teachers. During the war, in Srebrenica and surroundings many families fled the region or were killed. After the war not many survivors returned to the region and therefor the number of children that attend primary school these days is not high, which resulted that students, which attend different classes are combine into a single class, while a single teacher needs to lecture children at different levels and divide his time and attention. Due to lack of time and qualified staff, the teachers frequently fail to bring teaching time and curricula into line with the everyday lives of children and have outdated teaching methods. Because of this group work, independent learning, critical thought and problem solving, the use of new technologies and the development of life skills tend to be neglected. Also children that come from poorer or more disadvantaged backgrounds, have parents with limited abilities to help them with their homework, pay for their education and they may have to walk very long distances to school. As a result, these children are less able to follow the curriculum and young people lack the crucial knowledge and skills which they need in the high school and in the labor market.
With your donation we will open a center in which we will help children with their homework as well as encourage their passions for science, technology, engineering and math and provide the opportunity for them to learn to speak different languages while playing games, singing songs, telling stories, watching videos and engaging in other activities. During the school year also many fun, sportive and creative after school activities will be organized. The after school program includes opportunities for students to join a number of sports teams, participate in a band, play games, work on art projects, join a Book Club and have lots of reading fun and much more. After School programs provide a safe, fun and social environment and enables students to improve their grades, develop their skills and talents, increase self-esteem and set higher standards and goals for themselves. Children will be also provided with a warm meal and we will involve their parents in our activities so they get more engaged.
In addition we will open a preschool center. Young children learn best by experimenting with their environment through hands-on activities and play, which is why learning centers are such a vital part of the preschool classroom.
With you small donation we can provide above activities to hundreds of children for a year.

We zijn vooral actief in het gebied rond Srebrenica. Honderd duizenden mensen in Bosnië en vooral in het gebied rond Srebrenica zijn omgekomen tijdens de oorlog of hebben hun huis moeten verlaten. Grote aantallen Bosniërs besloten om te emigreren, hopende op een beter leven elders. Klein aantal gezinnen bleven of keerde terug naar hun haard en velen vonden dat ze er na de oorlog veel slechter aan toe waren dan voor de oorlog. Ze vinden dat er voor hun kinderen geen goede toekomst in het vooruitzicht ligt in dit gebied.
Vooral In Nova Kasaba is de situatie schrijnend en sociale exclusie en armoede is enorm. Ook in een aantal andere dorpen en steden is de situatie zeer ernstig. Er is zelfs geen officiële school. Ze maken soms hun basisonderwijs af zonder te kunnen lezen en schrijven. Deze kinderen genieten geen rechten en wonen in een gebied dat nu hoort bij de bevolkingsgroep die genocide heeft gepleegd op hun familieleden. Stichting Business and Education Network geeft kinderen in deze gebied een toekomst! Wij verzorgen voor deze kinderen onderwijs en zorgen dat ze een toekomst hebben. Vooral nu tijdens Corona is het heel lastig om kinderen extra lessen en activiteiten aan te bieden. Met uw geld zullen wij een centrum opzetten die aan al deze kinderen naschoolse lessen zal verzorgen, leuke activiteiten voor hun organiseren, boeken inkopen en een warme maaltijd bereiden voor de kinderen. Ook voor alle kleintjes moet er voorschoolse onderwijs komen zodat ze zich Kunnen ontwikkelen en niet bij voorbaat achter lopen. Tussen 0 en 4 jaar is het meest cruciale leeftijd voor het ontwikkeling van een kind. Hun ouders zijn heel laag opgeleidt en dragon heel weinig bij aan hun ontwikkeling. Voor ouders Zullen wij ook activiteiten ondernemen zodat ze meer betrokken raken bij hun kinderen en de gemeenschap.
Met een kleine donatie van u kunnen wij een jaar lang al deze activiteiten verrichten voor honderden kinderen in de omgeving en daarmee aan hun toekomst bijdragen en de economische ontwikkeling.
