Last Chance to Save Our House!

Donation protected
The last few years have been incredibly difficult for my son and I. While we have fought hard to deal the unfortunate hand we have been dealt, our house is scheduled to be sold at auction April 9, 2015. NEXT MONTH!

Our struggle started a few years ago when my husband/my sons father left us high and dry. As you can imagine we were devastated. With no significant income of my own the the day to day survival began. My son, just 2 years old at the time,  started showing signs of anger and aggression.

I held on by a thread, thinking that when my son would start PreK I could get a job in addition to my online business.  That didn't go according to plan. At all. My son's behavior was not very favorable in school and I pulled him out. I started the process of having him tested by the Board of Education and by LOADS of Doctors.

There was still no child support payments being made and as I spent more time trying to help my son the financial picture went downhill. I sold many belongings on craigslist trying to make ends meet but fell short. The house and credit cards ended up deliquent so there was no other choice but file bankruptcy.

While trying to find help with my sons anger and aggression, it was discovered that he is highly gifted.  I  had an idea since he was reading (not sounding out but actually reading) just after turning 4 years old! However, still no help with the behavior. Our school district claimed they could not make any accommations for advanced classes for Kindergarten so I homeschooled him.

At that time ADHD was ruled out but the Doctors never came up with any diagnosis. I started my own research and first learned of ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) which fit my son perfectly. I purchased instructional programs to help me learn how to better handle him. We made GREAT progress. So I thought.

In the meanwhile, I researched and represented myself in the divorce. Between the bankruptcy, divorce and foreclosure proceedings, I was in court at least once a month every month.  Everything is now done and over with except the foreclosure.

The next plan of action was to get my son enrolled in school so I could get to work and save the house.  Things didn't go quite according to plan. Once in school, my sons behavior became increasingly worse. I spent everyday in the school with the teacher and staff members trying to make the transition better. A month later his behavior was out of hand, to the point where I am bringing him to the emergency room. He spent several days in several hospitals being evaluated. This about broke me.

Finally there was a professional diagnosis of ODD, along with ADHD and a unspecified mood disorder. Treatment and counseling began and I thought in a few months that my son would be alright. Once again, I was wrong.

It has been a long road in so many ways. I have come to terms that my son is a special needs child and pushed for an IEP which is now complete. I still provide transportation back and from school and my son is still not able to be in the extended care after school... so I am still home with my online business to be available for my son.  There are many Dr's appointments and I am called into the school frequently.

After fighting the system for over 2 years, my child support case is now monitored weekly. I received my first payment last month.

My son is now eligible for SSI and that is all in the works. I have an advocate and I think finally we are getting help! However, the process still has a few more months to go before we receive any financial assistance.

Although we are constantly working on my son's needs,  there is one thing left to take care of.. our house.  Everything we faced, we got through. It just longer than I ever expected. It has been like playing beat the clock with the house while struggling to get by day to day. At this point, with a sale date of April 9th you might think we are done. I just can't be. Everything is falling into place financially but a little late for me on my own to pull around the house.

I found a very aggresive company that believes they can help me stop the foreclosure and lower the mortgage payment. The projected payment would be considerably lower than rent for a 2 bedroom in my area. The only issue I have is the fee they require and that brings us to this fundraiser.

I can't walk out of this house without attempting  to ask for help, which is hard for me to do but this is just too big to pass up.  The company charges $4000 in one payment or $4450 in 3 payments. The amount I have for this fundraiser is based on 3 payments plus the fee's this site and wepay charge.

The payment schedule needed to reach is as follows:
March 16, 2015 (MONDAY) is $1500*
March 31, 2015 is $1100*
April 15 is $1850*
*this sites fees are not included

The foreclosure would be stopped after 72 hours of the first payment received. The company then would start to review documents for more errors and work on my behalf for a loan modication.

I have never felt so close to being able to save our house!!! I need some help to get there though. While I understand that the fee may seem high but in the big scheme of things it really is not.. $4000 to keep your home.

We have been blessed to make it through four incredible years. It's all coming to an end and I am still hoping for the best.  There really are no words that would express our appreciation and gratitude for your help in keeping our home. It truly is priceless to us.

Thank you!!!!

If we should miss our goal, any donations received will be applied to moving.
