Help Onaga kids go to Science Camp
Donation protected
For over 20 years Onaga Elementary 6th graders have gone to Science Camp. This fantastic outdoor learning environment not only provides students with science exploration, but also gives them the opportunity to develop leadership and team building skills. The majority of these students have never been outside of the desert. Camp Highland Outdoor Science School is located in the San Bernardino mountains. It is a historic site that offers a week of hiking, canoeing, archery, environmental science, pond science, astronomy, and multicultural studies. However, this fine program costs $295.00 per pupil, and we plan to take 90 children. So far we have raised 50% of our goal which is commendable considering our large percentage of military families and low income households. We are committed to make this happen and are putting it all on the line because if we fail to reach our goal we will still owe the full amount of money to the camp. We appreciate any and all donations. With your help, we look forward to sending all of the 6th graders to science camp!
