 Rosa and Alejandro lived a quiet, steady life with their daughter. He worked as a house painter, and Rosa has a job with an area hotel. Aware of the immigrant deportation activity underway, they lived simply, staying mostly in their apartment when not working and not going out unless necessary. Unfortunately, Alejandro was detained by ICE while buying paint for his work and then deported back to El Salvador.
