On Behalf of Yvonne-Help COVID Patients in the ICU

Who is Yvonne?

Yvonne Ward is our cherished mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, friend and so much more to the many people that know her.  Yvonne is a native of Brooklyn, New York and has called the D.C. Metro area home for over 16 years.  The rehabilitation facility where she resided immediately went into lock down at the onset of the COVID pandemic.  However despite their herculean efforts to stave off the virus from the vulnerable residents in the communal facility, Yvonne tested positive on April 16th for COVID-19.  She subsequently  and unfortunately was admitted to Virginia Hospital Center Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Sunday April 19th due to complications.

Sadly, Yvonne passed away on Thursday April 30th.  As you can imagine her children, grandchildren, siblings and loved ones were devastated by this loss and wish they had  had opportunities to offer her words of support, love and prayer before she became ill while at the rehab facility and during her time in the ICU while she battled this illness all alone.

Our family’s wish is for others like her who are isolated and fighting this virus, to be connected to those that love them, so they know they are not alone.

Join the Ward family in bringing new Amazon Fire Tablets to facilities to make essential connections for our most vulnerable populations isolated by COVID-19 in their critical time of need.

Each tablet and case is about $75.  No donation is too small.

Thank you so much for helping us to work ON BEHALF OF YVONNE to help families see and speak to their loved ones who are isolated due to COVID-19.  Funds will be used to purchase tablets for rehabilitative and nursing facilities and hospital ICUs in the VA, MD and DC metro areas.

With love and appreciation,

Chris Ward, Yvonne’s beloved son, his wife Candice Ward and children Chelsea and Ethan Ward and all members (and extended members) of the Ward family
