Andrea's trip to Kenya

Last year God gave me the opportunity to go to Kenya and be a part of Clover Leaf's vision of opening a new Orphanage in the town of Meru. The main goal last year was to get the orphanage ready both legally and physically for the kids before their arrival. Besides that, we had a crusade to let the people of Meru know who Jesus really is and God moved in ways we weren't expecting. We also had the opportunity to join in with other organizations to distribute clothes and food to people in the slums, pray for the sick, and love others who needed to see the true love of God. 
I have been asked to go back this year as we will be contiuing our work in the orphanage training the staff, organizing three other crusades, and plan how we are going to sustain the orphanage altogether.

“So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" 2 Corinthians 5:20

As Christ’s ambassadors, we all have been called to a specific field and given a vision as to how we could become His ambassadors in this world. God has called me to be His ambassador in the field of Education to train this and upcoming generations of children to be ambassadors of His Kingdom throughout the nations of the world. I believe that Education is a great avenue for the fulfillment of this plan as this is the field where children are already learning and growing to become the men and women God has called them to be. I always had a passion to work with children, but when God confirmed His calling for my life, I was nothing but excited to see how God is going to use me to bring more people to His heart.  This is the work of Discipleship that Jesus said in the Great Commission.  "Go and Teach all Nations."
I have currently started working with TELED International Ministries to begin this vision. It is a blessing to be a part of this organization as it was founded by my grandfather Dr. Don D Petry and it’s now part of my father Clayton Petry’s mission and vision.  This will now be a legacy I proudly continue with God’s help always focusing on the purpose of bringing more people to Christ.
