•Move Mountains for Madison

Two months ago, Madison wasn’t feeling well. After a number of tests, the results came back with the dreaded news and a parent’s worst nightmare—an inoperable brain tumor. UVM installed a shunt to relieve pressure, however they ran into some complications and Madison was transported to Boston Children’s Hospital where they attempted to fix the drainage issue by de-bulking the tumor.  The shunt was then removed because the surgeon believed it was no longer required. After returning home Madison’s symptoms returned.  UVM reinstalled the shunt in her 3rd operation in 3 weeks.  Little Madie has been home now a few weeks with her twin sister Sofia.  She has started chemo with great hopes in shrinking the mass.

Ben and Sue have been strong during this horrible nightmare, but the costs of travel and treatment are heavy. They are still facing a long road ahead and have had to adjust their work schedules dramatically to support and care for their little girl.  As time goes on the reality of income loss is inevitable.  If there was ever a time to come together as a community to help, it would be now. Their family needs our support! If you can’t or do not wish to donate financially, please consider a share and a prayer for Madison, Sofia, Sue and Ben as they fight through this challenge!
