Omar’s kidney transplant

Donation protected
  • Hi my name is Valerie. I am creating this go fund me account for my brother in law Oscar Omar Gonzalez. He is a single father with full custody of his five children whom ages are 2 years old to his oldest 13 years old. He left a home they owned in Anton and moved to Lubbock in hopes of owning a home here he can leave to his children. At the age of 35 he was diagnosed with renal cell cancer to his right kidney and had to have his right kidney removed due to the growth of the tumor to his right kidney. He has always been a work-aholic since the age of 9 years young working in the fields and has always understood to work hard for what you want and if we sow our seeds, we will have for our future children a promise of life and well being. In 2018, he and his brothers started their own business The Counterfitters. For 20 + years fabricating and installing counter tops was turned into a dream they knew they could put a name to the quality work they brought out and call it their own. He still has this but unable to work has lead him to the only source of income he put forth as a second source of income 2 years ago. As a big collector of antiques and collectibles and cool memorabilia for over 30 years he always had the dream of opening a store front to show and sell his collection. His store Oldies and Goodies located at 1301 50th street open tues -sat 12-6pm. As granite work is not a option he looks to this second job as a source of income And something he can leave behind for his children to grow from. He is currently in the hospital fighting to keep his only kidney alive with chemo treatments ahead and under doctors care . We ask kindly for the public’s help to take off some of the burden off of his shoulders so that way he can continue his treatments Planned. Anything is appreciated and welcomed Even a prayer to the one that makes all things possible is appreciated . We ask for donations or even to check out the cool store and get you something that will be a long lived collectible. ThanK you kindly from the Gonzalez and Celis family. Peace be with all.
  • … update Omar has been on dialysis for these past 3 months due to complete kidney failure to that left kidney. He recently had an appointment at The Methodist transplant hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He and his two brothers went to have labs and necessary testing in hopes to be a donor and he a recipient for a kidney transplant. One of his brothers was notified that he was a match. This will be a long journey ahead of us so we’re asking for help for him to continue to be able to provide for his children and get this transplant.
