Karma's Surgery

I am writing this message with reluctance and a very heavy heart. As some of you may know, my dog Karma is about to undergo a major surgery on her knee. She has a torn CCL (basically the ACL in a dog) and needs to have it surgically repaired. The road to recovery will be long and challenging. Anyone who has ever met her, understands how serious this is. Karma is extraordinarily active, not simply because she likes to be, she needs to be. Karma has clinical anxiety and heavy exercise is crucial to helping to control and manage it, keeping her in a happy, calm, healthy state of mind. So the inability to exercise is not just physically crippling, but mentally as well.

As you may also know, I am a professional dog behaviorist and trainer, as well as a special education teacher for young children. Due to bad timing and unfortunate circumstances, this happened at a terrible time and I simply cannot afford the cost. I won't have an exact price until the day of her surgery (3/17/15) but it will be between $3500 and $5000.

I've never been good at asking for help, in fact I'm terrible at it. However, after enough people literally yelled at me, i finally caved and made a gofundme account. I've never done anything like this so this is wildly difficult and uncomfortable for me.

Any help that you or anyone you know could provide would be profoundly appreciated.
Also, reposting this for others to see is what will make all the difference. The more exposure, the better.
