$20 donation = Blanket for a sick or injured child!!!
The Olympus High School Girls Lacrosse Program (both Varsity and JV teams) would deeply appreciate your support of our team fundraiser and team service project. In 2017, our Varsity Team won the Division 2 State Championship and our team is working hard toward another successful season.
In Utah, lacrosse is not yet a sanctioned sport, meaning our players are responsible for all team fees including salaries for our great coaches and field rentals for practices and games. Each year, our players participate in a team fundraiser to help make participation in lacrosse more affordable for our players and to provide scholarships for any players in need.
This year, our amazing players have decided that they would like to incorporate a service project into the fundraiser instead of just selling the same old stuff. Our player council has decided that the service effort that they would like the team to support is providing blankets to seriously ill or injured children being treated at Primary Childrens and Shriners Hospitals. We have players that have been treated at these great hospitals who know first hand the reassurance and love that a comfy blanket can provide a child during scary times in the hospital. We are thrilled as a team to pay that forward.
So, here is how you can help. For every $20 that we raise, the team will provide a blanket for a child in need of a little extra love. Our team has already tied the first 20 blankets and will be delivering them to the children in the next few days. Our players are super excited to provide as many more as possible.
Please help support our players for the upcoming season and in the effort to give back to those in need by donating generously. Our team goal would help us provide blankets to 200 children, which would be our greatest victory this season.
