Hello all!
Most of you probably know Mel Smart as one of Hamersley’s Centre Captains and a very proud coach of the under 8 girls relay team. She is the girl who loves to run and she loves distance running. Mel runs 70km a week as part of her training and she is hoping to take her running to a new level and be selected for the Olympic Youth Games that will be held in October 2018.
But before she gets there she has the honour to compete for Australia in the Melanesia Games which is the selection race for the Olympic Youth Games. Let’s help see if we can make her soar. In order to get to the games to be held in Vanuatu she needs to raise a total of $3500.00. Sadly, for the West Australian athletes the cost is more than what was originally estimated because of the flights.
It isn’t too often that the West Aussies get to be in the mix so if you would like to help her out she would be very grateful for any contributions.
