Our Story. Last summer my wife was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This disease basically shuts down your muscles, so you end up not being able to walk, move, talk, and breathe on your own. On top of that, my wife is in pain almost all the time, which makes life really hard for her. My wife used to love playing baseball, roller blading, hiking etc. This is how we met, and now my wife can’t do any of those things. This disease is rapidly affecting her, in about 9 months she went from walking on her own to being in a wheelchair and has losing the use of her arms. We live in the country at the moment, we love it out here, but we have no way to get her to and from work, or simply go out for a date night. We recently used the funds donated and purchased a used wheelchair van, which is great news, however, we have been without a paycheck for two months now, and have to wait yet another month which means we cant pay rent, buy food, medical supplies, or pay our bills. Winter is coming, and we cant even pay for oil to heat our house. We are in dire need of help, so if you can, please donate, or share with everyone you know, every donation helps.
