Olmstead Family Memorial & Medical Fund

Donation protected
I have been a neighbor of the Olmstead family for almost 20 years. My daughter grew up with playing with their kids. As a neighbor and a mom, I felt this was one small way to help the  family during this VERY difficult time. I have also created a meal-train if anyone is interested in helping.

David and Mary, along with their 17 year old grandson, Kaden, were involved in a multi-vehicle accident on the Florida Turnpike just before 7 PM on Saturday, November 28th. It is with extreme sadness we share the news that Mary was fatality injured in the accident. David and Kaden sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. They are in a hospital outside of Palm Beach County which puts a strain on the family, as does the Covid-19 protocols. Both have a long road back to recovery, which also means David will be unable to work for some time. We know Covid-19 has put a financial and emotional strain on everyone. But I'm sure we all can agree the Olmstead family could use our help. It doesn't have to be financial, prayers are welcome and needed too.

"'Well done, my good and faithful servant!' This is surely what [Mary] heard as she ran into the arms of her Jesus last night. Mary was so many things, but first and foremost she loved Jesus. As in, she loved Him with her whole heart. She was quick to pray, slow to anger, full of compassion and love. She could NOT sing (at all), but that never stopped her. Her Bible was so tattered and well loved. She loved football and Hallmark movies. She was a wonderful, loving speech pathologist and changed the lives of countless children with special needs. But what did [Mary's family & friends] learn from her the most? [They] learned about unconditional love. Loving others unconditionally was her beautiful spiritual gift. [They] can only try to follow in her footsteps. She will be missed TERRIBLY and things will never be the same without her. God is ALWAYS good ❤️❤️ Mary Olmstead, will be missed." ~ Becca Olmstead Prather

The funds raised from this GoFundMe campaign will be used for Mary's memorial service and/or funeral (TBD), out of pocket medical expenses for David and Kaden, after which any remaining funds will go to the family to help with bills while David recovers from his injuries.
