Olivia is a beautiful young girl, full of life, who happens to have a terrible seizure disorder called Dravet Syndrome. What this is, in short, it is a rare form of intractable epilepsy that begins in infancy. This syndrome causes Olivia to suffer sometimes up to hundres of seizure a week. Olivia's Mom and Dad, Hilary Rayburn and Trey Blevins, made the difficult choice to move from Oklahoma, where they had friends and family, all the way to Colorado, where they had the ability to have medicinal marijuana given to Olivia, as this has proven to be extremely helpful for children with this syndrome. Hilary and Trey moved, knowing no one but each other, for a better life for their one true love; Olivia.
Trey had suffered his entire life with a severe, life-limiting spinal disability. A couple of months ago, Trey went in for surgery on his spine, and Hilary and Olivia were there by his side to help him heal as quickly as possible. Trey was Olivia's best bud, so she was sure to cheer him along in his journey of rehabilitation with her infectious smiles. Hilary kept everything together by always taking care of everyone, making sure everyone had what they needed, and always doing so with a beautiful smile on her face.
Devastatingly, a few days ago, Trey lost this battle, and has moved from this life to the next. Hilary is left without her co-parent and rock, and Olivia without her Daddy and best bud. Devastation doesn't even begin to describe what they are going through.
With Trey being the main provider, Hilary and Olivia are looking at very difficult times ahead-especially being in a state where they don't have many resources. Though they will be moving to a smaller house now, without our help, maintaining it, and being able to stay will be nearly impossible.
Losing someone is never easy-however, this is a unique situation, and we implore you to help our loved ones to get through this difficult time. If we can help offset some of the costs of Olivia's round-the-clock care and medical costs, and allow them to be able to stay in their home, (as well as in the state of Colorado, which is helping to keep Olivia alive) we feel we would be doing what Trey would have wanted.
Please rest assured that any money donated will go directly to a fund specifically to help Hilary and Olivia.
