Maria's Stroke Association Run

Maria has recently had a stroke and it has been devasating for our family. Without the support and research from charites like Stroke Association Maria wouldn't of had the treatment and care needed to make a full recovery. Strokes are a life treatning condition where the brain is starved of oxygen which is vitally needs to survive so without immediate care people can be left perminantly disabled or in some cases it can lead to death. 

Stroke Association is the UKs leading charity dedicated to conquering stroke. They rely on public support to provide vital services to deal with strokes and procedures to help rehabilitation associated with stroke recovery.

There are over 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. Thats one stroke every five minutes.

Myself and my family are going to run either 5k, 10k or 15k and all of the money we raise will be donated to the charity and will help prevent strokes, support everyone touched by strokes, fund research, and campaign for the rights of stroke survivors of all ages.
