Hey everyone!
As some of you have now heard, I have exciting news! I have a job! Most of you know that I graduated with a MLIS in May and have since been searching for a job in my field. I'm proud to announce that I am officially the new Head of Media Services at St. Ambrose University.
This is great news, and I'm super excited, but I do need a little help getting there. SAU is in Davenport, IA, and after grad school I don't have a lot of savings. This fundraiser is to raise money for the move, my first month's rent and utilities, and to help pay for a car.
The breakdown is like this:
First month's rent: $570
Utilities: $130
Car, including title and registration: $1000
I do have money set aside for the car already, so in the event that I come in under budget, the remainder of any money raised will be used to furnish my apartment.
This is all moving incredibly fast! I will be moving on January 6th, and will start work January 13th. While my stated goal for this is $1700, please know that I'm super grateful for anything you can contribute. Everything helps!
I'm so happy to begin this next new adventure, and to take this next step in my career!
