On March 19th 2016 Danielle gave birth to a beautiful little girl Olivia Rose. Three weeks later Danielle was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. What was supposed to be one of the most beautiful times in a new moms life turned Danielle's and her family's world upside down.
Over the next sixteen months Danielle gave everything she had and never stopped fighting to overcome this disease. She went through thirteen rounds of chemotherapy, two rounds of radiation, three admittances into hospitals , a heart attack and two strokes; the last one leaving her paralyzed on her right side.
Danielle's strength, faith and love for her daughter and family is what kept her fighting even on the darkest days filled with pain and upsetting news. Her upbeat optimism never failed to shine as she lived every day to the fullest with a smile and a positive attitude. Danielle kept her spirit alive through her love for the Lord. She often prayed with her partner Kenrick, prayed with their church leaders and friends. She lived each day with the strength of scripture on her heart. "She is clothed with strength and dignity; and she can laugh at the days to come". Proverbs 31:25
During her funeral her husband Kenrick, a quiet man, expressed his great love for his wife to all who loved her. He expressed his love for her through scripture " The man who finds a wife a treasure and he receives favour from the Lord" -Provers 18-22. He shared "You've been a wonderful mother to our child Olivia Rose. She love you dearly. You have been her mentor, an example, a teacher, a comfort, a place to turn for insight and wisdom, a friend, a role model. A light and one in whom can trust. We thank-you and love you! RIP"
Two hearts left broken from the lost of one. But two hearts fused together because of one.
Danielle was the kindest, sweetest and most selfless person. She put everyone's needs before her own and never hesitated to help others. After many years and dedication to her daycare centre she had finally settled down to start her family after years of caring for others. This dream was short lived.
On July 22nd 2017 at 10:46pm Danielle lost her battle to cancer. She leaves behind her husband Kenrick and their beautiful daughter Olivia Rose sixteen months old. Though Danielle's life and dreams ended that day, her dreams for her child live on. The last thing she would want is for them to struggle financially. So we are asking for donations to help the family support the needs of Olivia's day to day expenses as well as her future dreams.
