OLIVIA NWEZE'S CARDIAC SURGERY

Donation protected
In Olivia's mum's words:
Few days after birth I discovered that her color changes to blue when she cries for some time. This persisted so I took her to the hospital where it was discovered she had a heart Murmur and was asked to do an echo scan.
The echo showed she had a PDA and a pulmonary valve stenosis. As she was growing I noticed the cyanosis became marked, she becomes breathless on mild exertion and has clubbing of her fingers. A repeat echo scan was done which showed dilatation of her right atrium, ventricle and IVC.
Currently she is not tolerating feeds and vomits after feeding, she is breathless on mild exertion and her oxygen saturation is within 80 to 88%"

Baby Olivia is unable to eat any food, she vomits after eating. She is unable to play like every other child her age as she is very quickly out of breath and very tired easily.

She was scheduled for surgery in March but due to the Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, this was canceled.

As baby Olivia is getting more unwell and with easing of lockdown, baby Olivia's parents have managed to find a surgeon in Nigeria but the cost is staggering.

Baby Olivia's mum is a young medical doctor in Nigeria who graduated a few years ago and who currently works in a private hospital. The pandemic has also affected her income as a medical officer.
Her dad's work has also been affected by the pandemic.

Please help Baby Olivia Nweze.
