My friend and coworker Shannone along with her fiancé Gio Moreno are embarking on a journey they’d never hoped to see. We still lack many answers and they’re still trying to arrange doctor/specialists visits with their overpriced ($600/month for mom and baby) and yet severely lacking healthcare insurance plan. There is only one child neurologist within 50 miles covered by the plan.
Regardless, they are obviously doing everything possible within their power/healthcare plan. They need our support. Let’s do this!
Shannone on baby Olivia (8/30/18): “Olivia has been having spasms (small seizures) the past few days. Not more than once a day but with the absence of her corpus callosum in her brain it's concerning. It could maybe be controlled with meds but could also cause loss of development, developmental, physical, or mental disabilities, and could require possible brain surgery or cause a shortened lifespan.”
“She's definitely having spasms so the next step is to get a referral to the 1 pediatric neurologist in a 50 mile radius who accepts my insurance. She had 1 episode there [ER] and 1 when we got back to my parents and she continues to have them. Hoping to find out the cause and start some kind of treatment soon. I feel like someone pulled the rug out from under me, beat me with it, tossed it over me and stomped on it.”

Shannone and Gio have had to miss work to be there for Olivia and so will need help with medical and living expenses. These funds will go 100% to Shannone aside from what gofundme takes out (which luckily isn’t much, mainly credit processing fees). Help if you can. Emotional support and sharing this is fully appreciated if you can’t.
