Overcome Obstacles for the Olivers

Donation protected
This is the Oliver family
I'm a friend who has been given the opportunity to share their story with you. This picture says it all! Joy at the sight of new life! Yet in the midst of such elation, this sweet family is enduring extreme hardship & they are in need of your financial support to overcome some very difficult obstacles for the next 6 weeks.

The Backstory
Mandie has Lupus, MS, Epilepsy & a slew of other health complications. Expecting baby number 6 was nothing short of a miracle! Her pre-existing health conditions contributed to the deterioration of her body & she developed pre-eclampsia. At 29 weeks Mandie was admitted to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital on March 11th.

While hospital staff did all they could to stabilize mom & baby, on March 13th, within 30 minutes, everything changed! Mandie was wheeled into the operating room for an emergency 4-hour c-section performed by a team of surgeons. Mom & baby's life were in danger due to the complicated nature of Mandie's health & the delicate nature of delivering a 29-week old baby.

The delivery was very traumatic to Mandie's already fragile body & has adversely affected her organs. Currently, she has an enlarged spleen, distressed lungs, a deteriorating kidney, limited/impaired leg function (that requires ongoing physical therapy) & has undergone multiple blood transfusions. Mandie will be in the hospital for an undetermined amount of time.

This is Mercy Shalom Oliver!
Mercy was born March 13th, 3lbs 6oz., & 16" long. She's intricately & wonderfully made! This little one is a spunky, little fighter & will still need to be in the NICU for at least another 6 weeks. She is in need of your prayers as she continues to grow.

The Rest of the Family
Currently, friends & Mandie's mother are caring for the Oliver's 5 other children (Liam, Josie, Ellie, Ammi, & Shiloh) 90 miles away.

In the midst of Mandie & Mercy's trial, daughter Ellie has a benign tumor in her left tibia & will need surgery and son Liam has a dental infection which also requires an operation.
All of the recent Oliver family doctor appointments are at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital-the same hospital Mandie & Mercy are being treated at. Talk about God's providence! While Mandie is thankful to be present for their doctor appointments, these are extremely challenging circumstances on top of her current health situation.
Your Financial Support (for the next 6 weeks) Will Go Towards:
-Missed wages for Charlie
Charlie has not left Mandie's side & has missed a significant amount of work. He desires to spend as much time with Mandie & Mercy as possible, yet needs to return to work. At 180 miles round trip to the hospital, the costs of the commute are significant! He hopes to be able to spend at least 2 days with them out of the week & will need to take time off from work.
-Hospital Commute Costs (180 miles round trip)
Costs associated with such a long commute (gas, wear & tear on their vehicle, etc.)
-Hospital Parking Fees & Misc. Expenses
-Costs for NICU Approved Clothing
-Food costs for Charlie while visiting Mandie & Mercy
The Lord has shown this family great mercy during this difficult time. Which is why they have chosen such a fitting name for this little one. They know that all these things have been divinely orchestrated by a loving heavenly Father, yet times are hard.

Friends, we have a unique opportunity to come alongside and hold them up. Won't you come alongside?

Please prayerfully consider giving any amount...large or small. It will be greatly appreciated.
