Oliver Needs Back Surgery

Oliver is a one of a kind pup. His ombre ears, sweet eyes, and ability to cuddle  with any and everyone makes him a fan favorite—even if you're a self-proclaimed cat person. But our sweet pup has had a very serious accident that has left him pretty injured recently. After two visits to the vet in less than a week, we were informed today that he would need to see a neurologist on Monday. According to their expertise, there's a good chance he has a herniated disk in his back, which has left him virtually unable to use his two hind legs. We obviously want to get Oli back up to his normal and excited self, but unfortunately we're gonna need a little help to make that happen.

The quote that we were given for the MRI and surgery was around $5,000 and that we would have to pay that upfront before they could even begin to do the treatment.

Without this surgery, Oliver's quality of life will be headed downhill very quickly. Just over the last few days alone he has been unable to eat food or use the bathroom without extensive supervision from one of us. We're afraid that this surgery is truly a life-altering situation for him. The average lifespan of a dachshund is 13-16 years, and Oliver is only 7 years old. We still have a lot of memories to make with him, and that's where you come in.

We so wish that we could pay for this all on our own, but it's just not a reality for us. This is where your generosity comes in.
