Lachy & Oli need you!

Donation protected

This is Oliver and Lachlan Vagg. Twins born 3rd August 2017.

Oli and Lachy have two very caring parents, Nissa and Ross, who have found themselves in a bit of a pickle and they need your help.

Their story is summarised as follows:

Ross served 5 1/2 years in the army including a tour in Afghanistan. Working in unskilled labour jobs ever since, money has always been tight. After a few years of trying for a baby, the sensational news that they were expecting twins came as a surprise to Nissa and Ross.

Nissa had to stop work, and they borrowed money to book Ross into a commercial dive course to try to provide for the instant family of 4. Their goal was to pursue a dream of moving to Tasmania, get a good job and provide a life full of adventures for the boys.

With 2 weeks left on the course the boys were born 7 weeks early.

2-days post birth Lachy and Oli were admitted to the Royal Children's hospital where they both underwent two rounds of emergency bowel surgery. 6-weeks on and the boys are still in hospital. Ross has had to head back to Tasmania and leave his family in Victoria to start earning for them.

Lachy and Oli have been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system.

Recently the family received more devastating news that the company they'd paid to complete the diving course through has gone into administration.

With no home, no jobs and no community. Nissa and Ross now face the difficult task of somehow raising enough money to:

- Pay for a new deep-sea divers course
- Move to Tasmania
- Place a bond and a few weeks rent onto a rental
- Purchase the basic requirements for their twins and home
- Purchase the not-so basic requirements for their special needs, in order to deal with their diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis

As friends and family of this beautiful couple, we ask that you consider making even the smallest of donations to help get them off their feet. Every single dollar counts and if you can spare just $5 or more, we will be beyond grateful.

Our goal of $5000 will almost cover the cost of Ross to apply for a new diving course and complete his qualification.

If you or anyone you know is able to contribute in any other way aside from donating funds, we ask that you contact friend Zoe Starr at [email redacted]
