Mom's pacemaker & surgery

Donazione protetta

Hello everyone,

As of last month mom have been now diagnosed with another heartbreaking disease.  Multiple myeloma, I can't even begin to tell what I feel, nonetheless her. Every time I call her we cry and don't stop.  Situation in Venezuela is worse than has ever been. Medical supplies are hard to find, hospital care almost impossible to pay, with an inflation that goes up everyday. My family and I struggle to provide her with the appropriate care that will help her have a possibility at extending her life.
Please help us.   I pray everyday for her. Help her.

As of now I have been the sole provider for her medical care, and this have been a huge task to take financially.

Thank you. No amount is too little.

Let me start by saying thank you by reading my mom's campaign and helping us raise and share it, every little bit counts.

August 30th was another hard hit for my family as we mourned the loss of one of our beloved uncle, my mom's sibbling.
As most of you know, I left my family 12 years ago in search of a better & safer future, during those years I have only been able to see my parents twice, which not only breaks my heart, but it has destroyed my Mom's, as she has been waiting for my return everyday since I left. A mother always a mother.  And for her, I will always be her baby boy.
But into the reason why I wrote this campaign:
Mom has been very ill with heart issues for the past few years, two years ago she had a set of three heart attacks, then she was diagnosed with low blood flow to the heart and cardiac arrhythmia, which has caused a lot of issues for her, from fainting to having a procedure to treat her  atrial fibrillation just two months ago.
To say the least it has been two very stressful and painful years for her, having a history of heart disease in her family and also seeing my Dad 10 years ago be in a hospital for months to end, recuperating from a comma caused by a ruptured appendix. Although the doctors said the only thing to do was pull the plug at that time, my mother hung to her love for him and pray for him to come back.   She has endure some difficult times over the past decade.

She suffered another heart attack in late August this year. Her doctor made the decision that a pacemaker was needed in order to prevent future issues and to help correct her abnormal heart beat.
However with the situation in Venezuela, where finding even soap or basic food is an almost impossible task,  you could imagine a pacemaker is nowhere to be found.
I took it upon myself to do whatever it was needed to find one and send it to her.  Because she is the only Mom I have and I love her so much.

When I started looking at the specific model she needed; in the US; the value for non insurance payment was $45000 (as she has no insurance other than socialize one, and it doesn't work, if she went to a public hospital, she would die), I almost died myself in shock, but after all it is my Mom, she gave me everything I have and made me who I am today. So I will do whatever I have to in order to provide her with years to come of a happy and healthy live.
A few days in the process a friend recommended a medical supply company in Colombia, I took it as a mission and after many letters from the hospital in Venezuela, phone calls from me; I found the pacemaker for the amount of $24400,  I immediately made all the arrangements and had the pacemaker shipped to me, and then an amazing friend traveling to Caracas, took it upon herself to deliver it to the Doctor's office/Hospital.
Mom now lays in recovery after the surgery on August 21st, 2015 and with the biggest desire to see me and hug me. However next week she will be going under, for another surgery, (PCI) percutaneous coronary intervention, where they will place two stents to help alliviate the issue with her blood flow and hopefully find a final resolution that will give her quality of life.

Unfortunately for us, the pacemaker has to be paid in full by the end of the year, along with all the surgeries and rehab.  In a country where socialize medicine is far from help, we had no choice but to go to a private hospital, Mon has been there for a while now and the bills keep coming.
I am asking for anything you could collaborate to help us with this, so I can dedicate my time to find ways to help them and go see them as well. I know she will thank you from the bottom of her heart as so do I.

After all, the only thing she ever wants is to see me and hug me as much as she can in the near future.
I know she worries about the bill and I want to give her peace of mind knowing that all is taking care.

I will be paying for her hospital not covered balance by the almost non existing insurance the government in Venezuela provides for her, reason why I am raising $45000 to pay for her pacemaker and the  bill of her surgeries in Venezuela,  as I will personally be paying for the cardiac rehab that was about $15000 and another $25000 on the previous two hospitalizations and the procedure to treat the atrial fibrillation, as well as any supply you could imagine as the hospitals don't have the access to imports for even needles, medicines, etc.
Now she needs two stents put on, however the hospital is waiting for payment on previous procedures in order to authorize the next surgery.

Any help is greatly appreciate it.

I send you and your family a ton of blessings, thanks for all your prayers and all your help.

Please share with your friends, on any social media, help me help her.
