<div>At the tender age of 73 (and a half) I've taken on the rather long and gruelling challenge of cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats.

<div>Starting on Sunday 2 June 2024, I shall set out on my bike from the start point in Lands End. The route is just over 1,000 miles in total, and includes over 55,000 feet of climbs.

<div>The whole challenge will take 14 days - cycling an average of 71 miles each and every day, with overnight stops to attempt some recovery and refuelling!

<div>I’m doing this tough challenge at my tender age to raise money for Shelterbox, and for Nailsworth Rotary who feed in to multiple different charities.

<div>Every pound will help enormously with my motivation to put in the hundreds of miles training which are needed, so please donate if you can. Donations are eligible for GiftAid since they are registered charities, and I’m covering all costs myself and so every penny will go the causes.
