Locked Down… But Not Out

Over the next few weeks, students from Oak Lawn Community High School will take on an enormous challenge.  They are coordinating a campaign to assist local Oak Lawn businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Although not in school, they have come together to raise money for those struggling during this difficult time.   All funds accumulated through this GoFundMe page will be divided equally among as many businesses as we can help support.  Assistance will be given first to employees, and then for use with business operations.  Your consideration and generosity would go a long way to helping our Oak Lawn community heal.  Any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated!

These young difference-makers are part of a very special organization.  The Cross Countries Rapid Response Team (CCRRT) is a student-led service group at Oak Lawn Community High School (OLCHS) in Oak Lawn, Illinois.  It was established in 2004.  Each member has a strong desire to make the world a better place, both within and beyond our local community.  To date, our club has raised over $225,000 to help fund the construction of rural hospitals in both Kenya and Bolivia as well as support community initiatives throughout Oak Lawn.  Just this school year, Cross Countries has been able to lend a helping hand to both the BEDS Homeless Shelter and Park Lawn Charity with sizable donations.  With your support and prayers, we will continue to make a difference whenever and wherever possible for the benefit of our shared humanity.
