So, 2 weeks ago on a Saturday, a deer crashed out of the blue through our office window! It was a total surprise and caused quite a stir. The poor animal must've been frantic as it looked for the deer it saw in the window, then left through the same window it came in when it couldn’t find “himself”.

Can you believe it? One moment we were getting ready for our FreeStore Wilkinsburg store opening, and the next, a deer was running around the Civically office causing chaos!

Now, we're dealing with the aftermath, and we're reaching out for assistance. The cost to replace the window and repair the office damage is around $5000, and unfortunately, our insurance deductible is higher than that. We'd be so grateful for any help - big or small - to get things back to normal. Normal is:

Window replacement $2000 - quote

Printer approx. $1000

Printed materials & t-shirts (blood was everywhere) approx $800

Professional cleaning $600

Thanks a bunch for your support, and please share this crazy story. During times when there are budget constraints, it's these unforeseen events that highlight how every donation truly impacts our efforts.
