OK Cider Co makes Beer-Inspired Ciders.
Our vision is to provide a cider drinking experience similar to beer for those who can't [drink beer], or want a lighter-bodied drink. Beer-Inspired means ciders made in the differing styles of using, beer yeasts, beer fermentation profiles, hops, fruit, and other adjuncts. Our ciders are not overly sweet or candy like!
Tim met LukE met in 2010 and started homebrewing with him. When Tim found out he was gluten intolerant, they went looking for alternatives that stayed true to their beer roots.
We have been pouring our ciders at festivals and fund raisers for the last year to much acclaim. Patrons from all over Oklahoma and surrounding states have given us nothing but positive feedback. Our favorite reaction comes from convincing beer drinkers to try our ciders and they exclaim "Wow, that's really good!" Our response is "See, you just haven't tried a cider that you like yet."
After much planning and searching we are ready to sign a lease and build out our tap room. This is your opportunity to get in on the building stages of what will be Oklahoma's premier cidery.
The goal of this campaign is to raise funds to Build This Taproom. We want you to feel invested in what will become your new favorite drinking establishment. Our open taproom will be finished out like an urban barn with large windows featuring a farm truck tap wall, community tables built from reclaimed dance floors, free WiFi access, and a small stage for local acts to play on. We will be located in the southwest part of downtown OKC, near the 21c museum and hotel. There will also be an awesome patio with apple trees and a food truck dock so you can get some of OKC's finest food to go with your favorite ciders.
