Help the Daley Family

Like any incoming college Freshman, I could not wait to leave home and start a new chapter in my life at the University of Rochester.  I looked forward to having freedom and independance from my family.  But that all changed last October, when my mom was diagnosed with Astrocytoma, a form of Brain Cancer.  All of the sudden I wanted nothing more than to be home again.  I came home for my winter break, elated to be together as a family again, and my mom had her surgery.  It was a success; the brain tumor was mostly removed, and to make things better, the only further treatment she would need would be presciption drugs to keep the rest of the tumor at bay.  I thought everything was starting to fall back in to place.  
Then, my dad had a stroke, leaving his left side disabled, and leaving him unable to work.  
Knowing how difficult it was for me to deal with all of this away at school, I cannot imagine what my younger brother, Matthew, has gone through, dealing with it and seeing the affects every single day at home.  

While I am ever grateful that both of my parents are still alive and full of spirit, I grow more and more fearful that we are failing financially.  With huge medical bills on both ends (~$184,000 to Brigham Young Women's Hospital), of which insurance can only pay so much, as well as neither of them being able to work, I fear that I may not be able to return to college, much less afford the basic household expenses we've always had.  Between paying interest on loans, travel expenses, educational expenses, and now the medical bills, our saved funds have been depleted.  

Up until this, they have always been very strong and independant.  Now they are entirely relient on others, as even getting to and from rehab visits is a struggle in itself.  Furthermore, since I am away at school, my younger brother has had to take up much of the responsibility, and this is not easy for a 15 year old.  He's given up extra-curriculars and sports in order to spend more time at home and helping our parents.  As children,  we are so accustomed to being taken care of by our parents, and it isn't easy when it is now the other way around.  We both have grown up a lot in the few months since it all began, but it didn't come without struggle.  

In regards to this campaign, I'm starting it in hopes of accruing enough money to keep us afloat until both of my parents make it through rehabilitation, and can work again.  Anything from $1 to $100 helps, and we would be eternally thankful for your support and generosity.
