The basis of this project is to inspire community by mobilizing local wealth. The goal is to provide a website platform for people to make trades without the use of money. Once your profile is set up, you can post two lists of items: one with what you are wishing for and another with what you have to offer. These items can be things, services, accommodation, transportation, food, and entertainment. By separating your wants from your haves into two separate lists, Afeatherway.com is able to find matches between the lists and suggest trade posibilities within the wealth pool and allow users to propose trades across all categories.
Afeatherway.com entered my thoughts around a year ago, and since then, I have been developing its design and functionality. I have recently engaged the website design team who proposed the website completion on July 15th for $27,000. I have taken out a loan to fund the initial stages of this project, but I am asking for your help as I will not be monetizing this website. I want to provide this platform to the community free of charge and without banner advertisements. It will be a common ground for people to trade things, services, accommodation, rideshare, food, and entertainment across categories.
Trading is not a new concept. It was the original way of generating wealthy communities: where everyone had what they needed, where the wealth was evenly distributed, where innovation could thrive and stale ideas could be recycled.
The monetary age has weakened creative genius to the point that most high school graduates' top priority is to find a job based on money instead of following their passions and contributing to the beauty and wonder of this world. The dilemma is ever present: to be happy one must do what they love; however, currently, the need for money limits the choice to content survival over ecstatic fulfillment. It is time to reconnect with what we really need. It is time for us to give back directly to the communities we live in without getting taxed for our contribution.
