Our primary residence in Kalāheo was damaged by recent back-to-back storms, and now our ‘Ohana needs urgent help to make our home safe and livable again. Rainwater caved in our roof, shattered the support pillars at our main entryway, and left our internal framing heavily rotted and exposed to the elements. The water damage has also compromised our electrical wiring, creating an immediate short-circuit fire hazard inside our home.

On top of the structural damage, the constant moisture caused a rapid mold bloom. This became a serious medical issue when our 9-year-old son began having breathing difficulties from the mold exposure. For our family of 9, plus our 1-year-old mo'opuna, this has turned everyday life upside down. Right now, our family is completely grounded until we can complete the necessary repairs to make our home breathable and livable again.

Funds will help cover:

Licensed professional roofer

Certified mold remediation and disaster restoration

Licensed electrician services to inspect water-saturated wall cavities and complete safety rewiring around compromised light fixtures

Professional deep cleaning and spore decontamination across the home

7 medical-grade HEPA air purifiers

6 commercial dehumidifiers/humidifiers

Emergency living and grocery support during active construction

Our top priority is funding the necessary cost required to permanently extract the mold hazard, electrical hazard and repair the roof and pillars, so we do not become a displaced family of 10. We are staying strong to get our ‘ohana back into a safe, healthy environment as fast as possible.

If you are able to help, any donation, prayer, or share of our fundraiser would mean so much to our family. Mahalo nui loa for your kindness, love, and kōkua during this urgent time. Acts 17:30
