Hello! My name is Joshua Knoller! I am a student at the University of Michigan, but more importantly, I am a filmmaker!
And I need your help!
I am the writer and director of a new short film titled, "You and Me, Me and You" that is being produced and created independently this February, by a group of immensely talented and passionate filmmakers in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
A look at the importance of love and family, and the selflessness that comes with it, "You and Me, Me and You" follows Harper, a college graduate and aspiring journalist, after being offered the job of her dreams. Wanting to begin the new chapter of her life, Harper must go to Skylar, a gifted, but troubled, 13-year-old girl who she has looked after for years and tell her that she must leave. But, when Harper discovers Skylar's life is not what it seems, she is forced to look within herself and reconcile with her past experiences in order to save the relationship with Skylar, and do the right thing.
It is a story that we feel can reach a lot of people, but we can't do it without your help. As you can imagine, producing a film is not always the easiest and cheapest endeavor, however, we are determined to make this story come to fruition. That being said, we are in search of $2,000 that we can use for acquiring a location, equipment rentals, providing craft services, meals, and potential transportation for the crew, and most importantly for our Art Department (Hair, Makeup, Wardrobe, and Set Design) to fully bring the reality of our characters to life.
With February quickly approaching, we would be so immensely grateful for all of your support, in any way you can! You would be a part of a powerful story that could mean a great deal to a lot of people.
