Ottawa General Hospital NICU Fund

Donation protected
I had no idea how important the Ottawa General Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is, until Tuesday, March 6th. That is when our little Tessa Shea Hopper was born, almost 3 months premature and weighing in at 910grams. This Intensive Care Unit is the reason babies, like mine, have a fighting chance to live normal lives later on. The team that works in this area are all loving, smart, caring, and capable people, who make us more at ease, knowing that Tessa is monitored by them 24hrs a day. I cannot say enough about the people here. They are phenomenal!

The thing is, there aren’t a lot of places babies as mature as Tessa can go to get this care. In fact, the General Hospital supports babies from all over Ontario, even the northern sections, with the specialized care they need. We are fortunate that it just so happens to be in the same city we live. The NICU doesn’t receive a ton of donations, but I want to change that.

Instead of sending us a meal or supporting us elsewhere, please make a donation to the unit and team keeping our baby Tessa alive.

Very much appreciate it!
