Officer Mitchell Penton Memorial Fund

This GoFundMe page is established in honor of Officer Mitchell Penton, an officer of the Dallas Police Department who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on Saturday, February 13th.

Officer Penton was struck and killed in the line of duty by a vehicle operated by an intoxicated driver around 1:45 am.  He was securing the scene of a vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of the North Central Expressway at Walnut Hill Lane with the emergency lights from his patrol car, when a vehicle traveling at a high rate speed, hit the back of his patrol car.  Officer Penton was transported to Baylor University Medical Center when he passed away from his injuries.  Officer Penton served with the Dallas Police Department for two years and was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.

Mitchell Penton leaves behind his wife, Noel, who is expecting their first child together, as well as his stepson, Cashton.  He is survived by his father and mother, Tim and Kathy, sister Sydney, and brother Garrett.  Mitchell will always be remembered for his infectious smile and kind soul.  This page is established by friends of the family to help start a fund for anything the family may need through the coming years.

Please give to help protect the Penton family, just as Officer Mitchell Penton did for the City of Dallas during his brief tour that was cut short by this tragedy.  Any amount is appreciated.
