Officer Lee Grant fundraiser

This fundraiser was initiated to ask the community to come together and donate to support the family of Officer Lee Grant from the Alpena Police Department. Lee served his community for the City of Alpena since February 05, 2001.

On December 4, 2019 Lee was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and found he had a hernia. Lee had 20% of one of his kidney’s removed on February 4, 2020. A second surgery to fix his hernia took place on March 5, 2020. Several medical concerns arose resulting in Lee having emergency surgery on March 12, 2020. Due to the complications, Lee was admitted into ICU. He was placed in an induced coma and on a vent. Two days later, Lee was transported by helicopter to U of M. Lee passed away on March 15, 2020, leaving behind his three children to be raised only by their mother.

Lee was highly involved and donated many hours to the community. Lee’s family needs our support to help pay for his funeral/memorial and any travel expenses. The money will go straight to the family.
Our goal is to raise $10,000.
