Off The Pages - Short film about a local Toronto comic store

Hello, my name is Tim Henry. I am the director of this film. I am crowdfunding for me and my crew's third year Sheridan Collehge student project about a colourful comic book store in Toronto. My goal is to celebrate independent comic artist culture and the details of the film will be listed below.

Off The Pages is a short film about an independent comic shop in Toronto called The Beguiling. It is being produced in associated with Sheridan College as part of the Bachelor of Film and Television. The film will tell the history of one the city's oldest and quirkiest comic stores and its owner, Peter Birkemoe. The Beguiling hosts an abundant of lore including hosting signing events, its triumph through the pandemic lockdown and starting the annual Toronto Comics Art Festival. The film will also portray comic books as a form of storystelling that goes beyond caped crusaders.

We want to be able to raise $500 to pay for expenses including transport, equipment, food and marketing. We would be ecstatic for any amount of support.
