IAM Going to College Too

Donation protected
It hurts seeing so many students who have the potential to attend college, not do so due to lack of information or knowledge.   A mind is a terrible thing to waste and everyone should feel they have the ability to learn and become whoever they want to be.  They should not be limited to their circumstances or what other’s opinions may be of them.  Allowing an open dialogue allows them to obtain valuable knowledge and information.

On average the retention rate after the first year of college for African American students is between 50-60% and in some cases under 50%.  The graduation rate for African American on a 6 year period is at 17% or lower.  There is a strong need to help students stay on track and understand the importance of college preparation and persistence.

I plan on organizing ACT workshops starting in July  or August 2015 to assist all students with preparing for the ACT.  Eventually we will help students or individuals in areas of reading literacy and helping them to be college-ready when they attend college in hopes that they will persist, complete college and eventually graduate.  The goal is to keep the village alive and help to make every life count by reaching out and helping someone have a better life.

In order to coordinate and organize this event, we will need to raise donations and/or sponsorships.  Some of the costs are the services to maintain the program

Please support this endeavor by donating to help to improve the life of someone as they gather information and data on how to prepare for college.  WeAllBe Group Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
