"The Odysseus Fantasy" is a suite of eight pieces for chromatic harmonica, jazz trio and string orchestra with harp, each illustrating an episode from Homer's "The Odyssey".

These pieces were written by French composer Karim Maurice especially for harmonica performance of Will Galison.

Upon the completion of the first piece, "Circe", the project was awarded agrant by the Mid Atlantic Arts Association, which funded the composition and recording of seven additional pieces. Although the grant was generous, the expenses of producing a recording an album of orchestral music are substantial. On the eve of our recording sessions in November, we find ourselves $5000 short of of our budget, so we are humbly asking our friends to help us out.

The music is exquisite and represents a new context for chromatic harmonica, blending modern classical idioms with elements of jazz improvisation. All the musicians involved are world class, and the recording will be produced impeccably, in state of the art facilities.

Donors of $20 will receive a first edition copy of the finished album, signed by Will Galison and Karim Maurice. Of course, multiples of $20 will receive multiple albums (Christmas is coming!!) Donors of $500 or more will also be acknowledged on the album and the concert programs.
