"Giving Back to Toni"

Donation protected
My mother in law, was in a severe accident while we were vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland this past August.  Having had surgery after surgery to add/remove hardware to her leg and to remove infection several times, times have not been easy for her. Today, March 9th, marked surgery number nine.  After seven months of being out of work with no income coming in, endless hospital stays, sleepless nights of being in pain, praying day after day that things will get better, the doctors are now stating they are "doing the best they can to save her leg".

Prior to this tragic accident that has changed Toni's life, Toni worked at a school for children with Autism for many years. She is a hardworking, loving mother, and the best grandmother/Nana of two handsome boys, Anthony and Ethan. Her entire world is her family; especially her grandchildren. On the 20th of August she married her longtime friend, my mother in law Janet. In hopes to get away for a week and enjoy the remainder of her summer before having to go back to work, she went through this horrible accident that has changed her life and hasn't been the easiest of times.

I have known Toni since I was five when her son and I were in Kindergarten together. If there is one thing that has not changed about her in the 20 years that have passed: it's her big heart. Toni is always the first to go in her pocket to help someone in need whether it be someone she knew for years or if she just met you once through a friend at a party/fundraiser, etc. She has done so much for so many even when times were rough and she was struggling herself to make ends meet. The tables have now turned: Toni is in need of help and I'm hoping to give a fraction back to a woman who has given and done so much for others.

I am collecting donations to help Toni with costs of copays on medications that may be costly, medical expenses that may be needed, food and groceries, etc. Her wife works multiple jobs to try to cover costs, sometimes working from 8am to midnight, but is no condition herself to do so herself. Please, NO donation is too small and ALL are greatly appreciated.

In advance, thank you for taking this time and for all who help me give a little back to Toni. Tell your friends, family and share this fund with others; every little bit helps in making this difficult time a little bit easier for Toni.
