Dash for Kash

Donation protected
In 2007 Brian Kash was recalled to war after already serving his four years in the Marine Corps. He valiantly served as sergeant and convoy commander dedicated to his mission and the men that he led. Being at war and serving in this capacity Brian realized his passion and calling. After returning stateside he began to pursue this calling by attending college and intensively training to become an officer in the Navy SEALs.

Six weeks before graduation Brian sustained a spinal cord injury leaving him a quadriplegic. He still has some function in his arms but has lost his ability to perform functions of daily living. This means he needs to rely on other people to do the things you and I take for granted each day; taking a shower, preparing our own meals, driving ourselves to work. This also means he is not able to pursue his dream and calling of continuing his service in the military.

However, with your help, Brian could have the opportunity to gain more function allowing him to become more independent. Through SCI Recovery Project (www.scirecoveryproject.org) Brian has found a program that allows him to dig into the man that he was before he got hurt. With the Recovery Project’s adaptive exercise therapy program Brian is already “fighting” to gain more function by engaging in weight training exercises, cardio training and gait training. In just two months Brian has already gained more strength in his triceps and his back, leg and abdominal muscles. These are muscle groups that he was told he wouldn’t be able to move again.
Your donation will help Brian continue to move forward seamlessly in his therapy. You will help him grow stronger physically and mentally. You will help him gain more function so that he is able to drive, get a job and pursue another calling that will help serve the people of this country.

Watch the video below and check out what it looks like when your mind tells your body “YES I CAN" and the phrase “I can't" becomes unexceptable!!
