Fundraising for our Adoption:
We are selling PUZZLE PIECES that will ultimately complete a puzzle to hang on baby’s nursery wall. Each person that buys a piece will have their name written on it. It will be a reminder that this little one is loved by so many people- and that each of you helped in getting them home!
If you’d like to buy a piece here’s how it works:
We have-
4 corners @ $250/piece- ALL SOLD!
48 edges @ $100/piece
125 middles @ $40/piece
If we sell this whole puzzle we will have $10,800 towards our adoption- over 1/3 of our total cost raised by YOU!!
Adoption cannot happen without COMMUNITY. We need your support, your prayers, and, quite frankly, your generosity.
As I’m sure you’ve heard over and over or even experienced yourself, adoption is EXPENSIVE. Oh that one day it would become more affordable! I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought multiple times about pulling the plug on this- when given the grand total it makes me a little sick and think “heck no, there’s no way we could afford this!” But then I think ‘big picture’: having another one on the sidelines at soccer.. having 3 teenagers around the dinner table.. and then I’m right back to “ABSOLUTELY!”.
I have full confidence that the Lord will SUPPLY EVERYTHING that we ask/need for this adoption. I just sometimes need a little help remembering. When we break down the cost, it seems a lot more manageable. But, on our own, we just can’t afford it. This is where you- our family, our friends, acquaintances- come in. We’re asking you to help be a “PIECE” of our adoption journey- helping to bring a little one home!
About our Adoption:
We are using Bethany Christian Services (learn more here: https://www.bethany.org/about-us) which is an adoption placement agency. We have chosen domestic infant adoption. Our home study is complete and we are waiting to match with an expectant birth mama. However, while waiting, we are also fundraising and applying for grants to be able to completely fund our adoption in the near future.
Our Announcement:
BIG NEWS in the O’Connell household. We are growing our family through ADOPTION. And we couldn’t be more excited and hopeful.
The Lord has been stirring in our hearts for years the desire to adopt and the time is NOW HERE. We have just finished our home study and are now prayerfully awaiting BABY #3.
Would you please join us in PRAYING for our baby and birth mama/family?! We will be spending the coming months fundraising if you would love to support us in that way. But more than anything we would appreciate prayers!
We have no idea what this road will look like as we travel down it but what we do know for certain is that God is FAITHFUL! We cannot wait to meet this little one and tell them all about how God has orchestrated their story perfectly.
