COVID-19 Relief - She Has 15 Days Before Eviction

Newport, RI

Jessica opened her first business, OceanSky Studios, just over a year ago but now faces eviction from her current landlord due to COVID-19. She is a really good person and an amazing mother, always helping people anyway she can. She makes and sells her own soaps, candles, essential oils, and bath products in her little shop. She also hosts weekly sip and paint events like the female version of Bob Ross. She has filed for every form of government assistance but has been on the waiting list for over 2 months. It's terrible watching someone you care about slowly losing everything they have worked for. It seems unfair that the responsibility of this virus is falling on small business owners who are being forced to close their doors. It seems unfair that she has to pay for a small business that she is not allowed to use. She and her 6-month-old son face eviction from their business and apartment due to COVID-19. The worst is that she will still have to pay for the remainder of the lease. The banks don't lose, the landlord doesn't lose but she loses everything including getting an eviction on her credit. I don't know how a lease can hold at a time like this. We are asking for any sort of help so that she may be able to either keep her business or move. Please help her fight the greedy New York
