<div>Hello my name is Emily and I am apart of the Ocean Song Education Association. We are a small but mighty team founding Ocean Song, a <em>Waldorf-inspired independent school—intending to open with a Kindergarten program to start.</em>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our <strong>mission</strong> is to offer an intentional Waldorf-inspired school program, located here in Victoria, BC. One that is guided by child development, shaped by rhythm and grounded in care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, we are in the <strong>seed stage</strong>—the very beginning. This is when your support makes the most difference.
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>What Your Early Donation Make Possible:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Securing a Location </strong>– establishing a physical home where our school community can grow.
</div>
<div><strong>Membership Dues </strong>– joining organizations such as AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America), which provides mentorship, accreditation, and resources.
</div>
<div><strong>Legal &amp; Administrative Costs</strong> – completing our incorporation and applying for charitable status so we can unlock grants and long-term sustainability.
</div>
<div><strong>Program Development &amp; Faculty Training </strong>– creating early offerings for children and families that lay the foundation for our full curriculum.—Supporting faculty in becoming fully-trained Waldorf teachers and leaders (training that is often in the US or Toronto.)
</div>
<div><strong>Community Outreach &amp; Marketing</strong> – helping more families discover and connect with Ocean Song School.

<div><strong>Our Values</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We start with the child. </strong>We meet children where they are—physically, emotionally, and intellectually—recognizing that development unfolds in natural stages
</div>
<div><strong>We teach through rhythm and relationships. </strong>Strong rhythms and trusted relationships give children a dependable ground for learning and life.
</div>
<div><strong>We build capacity through movement and meaningful work. </strong>Physical activity, nature play, and practical tasks build stamina, focus, and an engaged will.
</div>
<div><strong>We introduce technology at the right time. </strong>We delay its use in the early years to prepare students to engage with it in ways that support their well-being, relationships, and contributions to the wider world.
</div>
<div><strong>We integrate arts, thinking and imagination. </strong>Academic learning is brought to life through story, music, drawing, and hands-on work—nurturing both intellect and creativity.
</div>
<div><strong>We grow in community. </strong>Our school is a shared effort among teachers, families, and administrators—built on cooperation, agency, and mutual respect.
</div>
<div><strong>We aim for freedom. </strong>Our goal is to support the development of thoughtful, morally grounded individuals who act with purpose and care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why Give Now?</strong>
</div>
<div>Seed funding is special. Your early gift doesn’t just cover start-up costs—it plants the foundation for everything to come. Each dollar helps us open the doors of Ocean Song School and makes it possible for larger funding sources to follow.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No matter the size, your donation has a ripple effect, helping move us from vision to reality. Thank you so much for your consideration.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we can make Waldorf in Victoria possible. ✨
