Support our start up team! For the very first time, Ocean Lakes High School is fielding a lacrosse team. Lacrosse is an amazing sport, and most students at OLHS have never had an opportunity to play. Our goal is to allow any player to join our team, regardless of financial circumstances.
It is so much more than a game. Students who play high school sports perform better in school, have healthier lifestyles and engage in fewer high risk behaviors. Ocean Lakes is supporting our team with conditioning practices, nutritional counseling and year-round academic assistance. Players develop self-discipline, teamwork skills and increased self-confidence, all while having fun!
We need your help. Lacrosse is expensive. The cost for equipment and uniforms for each player exceeds $600. The cost for a 30 player team, not even counting league fees, insurance, coach stipends and field costs, exceeds $18,000. Help us to allow any student at our Title 1 school to join our team!
Donations of any size are welcome!
$5 will pay for 3 lacrosse balls
$10 will pay for a mouth guard
$25 will pay for shoulder pads
$35 will pay for one lacrosse stick
$50 will pay for a pair of lacrosse gloves
$90 will pay for the uniform for a player
$170 will pay for the required helmet
$600 will fully fund one player who could not otherwise play
