Amber's Knee Surgery

My name is Amber and I am a dog :D
Like many dogs you know, I love to run and bark and chase and chew and smell and love. A few months ago, when I was out running my human I landed funny on my knee and it really hurt! Now, those of you who know me, know that I never miss a meal, and probably the only thing that I love more than a good belly rub and an electric heater is a snack or a goodie. That being said, my ladylike curves worked against me and I ended up at the vet's office :(
It turns out that I completely detached my ACL (That's this thing in my knee that connects my top leg bone to by bottom leg bone!) and will need surgery to replace it with a prosthetic one made from a cable. The surgery is a bit expensive and my humans have been trying very hard to save up as much as they can. They also took away all of my snacks and put me on a special diet so that I can lose some love handles before the surgery. (I would much rather have snacks!)
The vet also told my humans that my other knee is not looking promising and after I have surgery, there's a good chance that I will put too much weight on my uninjured knee and could detatch that ACL too. My humans love me very much and are both working hard to try to tackle this on their own but I think they are going to need a little help. I know that any little bit would mean the world to them (and me too!).
